Raleigh, N.C. and San Antonio, T.X. – January 16, 2019 – In December 2018, Compass Surgical Partners entered into a partnership with St. Raphael’s Surgery Center (“SRSC”) in San Antonio, TX. The state-of-the-art surgical facility provides an optimal surgical environment for surgeons in the specialties of otolaryngology, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, podiatry, pain management, and cardiology. St. Raphael’s was founded by Lance Jackson, MD, one of the nation’s leading inner ear specialists. The center is located at 18518 Hardy Oak Blvd in San Antonio.

Raleigh, N.C. and Ft. Myers, Fla. – December 28, 2018 Raleigh, N.C. and Ft. Myers, Fla. – December 28, 2018 – In July 2018, the partners of Performance Health Surgery Center broke ground on construction of a new 17,000 square foot outpatient surgical center in Ft. Myers. The new center will anchor a new multi-use development in Ft. Myers, located at 16501 Three Oaks Parkway near Interstate 75 and Southwest Florida International Airport. The stand-alone surgery center will provide state-of-the-art surgical services and will be a premier destination for outpatient total joint replacement. The facility will be managed in partnership with Compass Surgical Partners, a Raleigh, N.C. based operator of ambulatory surgical centers. With construction well underway, the facility is slated to open in Summer, 2019.

The new center will have four operating rooms designed specifically for the performance of complex orthopedic and spine surgery. The entire program has been designed to accommodate surgical cases traditionally performed in hospital settings; the design will include large operating rooms, high-end sterilization equipment designed for efficiency, and a concierge-like feel for patients. Clinical programs will center around providing a seamless experience for patients, from patient education, close coordination with affiliated physician practices, and surgical and post-operative protocols aimed at maximizing patient comfort and speed to recovery.

Implementation of New Program Leads to Successful Same Day Total Joint Replacement

Raleigh, N.C.– June 25, 2018 – Holly Springs Surgery Center (HSSC), a freestanding surgery center located in Holly Springs, N.C., completed its first total outpatient knee replacement surgery case in June, 2018. Dr. William Andersen of Cary Orthopaedics completed the surgery as part of the Same Day Joint Program.

HSSC’s Director of Nursing, Elizabeth Stocum, RN, CNOR, worked in conjunction with Dr. Andersen and Cary Orthopaedics to develop clinical protocols specifically designed to support same day outpatient total joint replacement surgery for qualified patients. Advancements in pre and post-operative care, anesthesia protocols, and pain management techniques allow HSSC to safely perform these surgeries in the convenient, comfortable, and lower cost environment of the surgery center.

Raleigh, N.C. and Stuart, Fla. – April 22, 2017. Today marked the opening of Stuart Surgery Center at Martin Health in Stuart, Fla. The new outpatient facility, developed in partnership with Martin Health System and Compass Surgical Partners, will be specifically equipped to perform gastroenterology procedures. It will allow local patients undergoing screening and treatment for digestive diseases to have procedures completed in a safe, convenient, and affordable environment.

The new outpatient facility will be specifically equipped to perform gastroenterology procedures. It will allow local patients undergoing screening and treatment for digestive diseases to have procedures completed in a safe, convenient, and affordable environment.

The surgery center will be easy to access, located at 2096 SE Ocean Blvd in Stuart. After opening in early 2018, the center will seek accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), which surveys and accredits surgery centers that exhibit the highest standard of quality.
