Karen Schlosser works closely with health system partners, physician partners, and her colleagues at Compass to launch new ambulatory surgery centers in the Southeast. Once a center has launched, Karen guides center administrators and their teams as they operate all aspects of the centers.
Karen’s ASC leadership experience spans more than two decades, beginning with her work as a Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR®) early in her career. Since then, she has led ambulatory surgical teams that have achieved excellence in clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance, and business development at several ASCs. Centers she has led have won accolades such as Newsweek’s "America's Best Ambulatory Surgery Center.”
Keenly interested in driving surgical excellence through continuous process improvement, Karen applies skills she mastered over her career and while earning a Six Sigma certification through the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
Karen's colleagues appreciate her positive attitude and her ability to build strong relationships. She empowers her teams to achieve their full potential while driving company performance and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Karen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Molloy College in Rockville Centre, New York. She enjoys hiking, yoga, traveling, and spending time with family. She is an adventurous cook who loves to experiment with new cuisines.
