Heart of Florida to Open New Surgery Center in 2017
Davenport, Florida (July 21, 2016) – Compass Surgical Partners and Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center are working together to bring a new, 13,000 square foot outpatient surgery center to Davenport, Florida. The new facility is scheduled to open in early 2017.
For Ann Barnhart, CEO of Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center, the new facility is two years in the making. “We have worked with other firms in the past and been unable to pull the physician partnership together,” said Barnhart, “However, Compass was able to engage quickly, navigate a competitive landscape, and work together with our team to accomplish what other firms could not.”
In partnership with a number of skilled local surgeons, the new surgery center will serve the growing community of Davenport with a unique variety of outpatient surgical specializations, including GI, urology, spine, pain management, orthopedics, and ENT. Compass will lead the development and management of the center. Construction for this project is scheduled to begin in September, 2016.
“I have been more than impressed with Compass’ ability to assess our market and develop strong physician relationships,” said Barnhart. “We are looking forward to working with them on this project.”
