Robert Carrera
Chief Operating Officer
Robert Carrera serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Compass Surgical Partners. Robert believes in a culture of continuous improvement and is committed to optimally satisfying all obligations to stakeholders. He ensures that every Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) provides a safe, high-quality, cost-effective, and efficient experience. Robert works with business development, finance, revenue cycle, clinical quality, compliance, and operations to achieve these objectives. All the while he listens to feedback from every stakeholder to create a culture of continuous improvement.
Robert has deep experience in the healthcare industry, having served in the industry for over 30 years – first as a clinician and physical therapist then migrating into various leadership positions. However, his main area of expertise is in the ASC industry. For many years, he was the leader of his own ASC development company, Pinnacle III, which he built from the ground up and ultimately sold to a strategic buyer.
Robert is proud to have developed a professional network that he has maintained and continued to expand throughout his career. He prides himself on being a generalist, able to answer a multitude of questions, but also when to let other specialists take charge. Robert knows that providing essential resources and support to any team can ultimately lead them to greatness no matter how many challenges they may face.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He is married with three adult children, and he enjoys a variety of outdoor activities.
