Scott Bacon, CFP®, MBA

Scott Bacon serves as Vice President of Business Development, engaging with physicians and health system executives to facilitate the transition of higher acuity surgical cases to the ASC setting. Scott believes that healthcare costs across the US are unsustainably high and accelerating the shift to the lower cost setting of an ASC benefits patients and payers while offering more efficiency for the surgeons utilizing such facilities. 

Prior to joining Compass, Scott held numerous roles within the financial services industry, including overseeing the Medical Specialty Group of SunTrust across the Carolinas. Scott is a Certified Financial Planner® which enables him to take a financial planning approach to evaluate new ASC partnerships and projects for Compass and our physician partners. 

Scott holds a Master of Business Administration from Campbell University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Towson University. While at Towson, Scott was a 4-year starter and a 3-time captain of the varsity baseball team. In his free time, Scott enjoys traveling with his family, cheering on his two daughters on the soccer sideline, exercising, and playing golf.
