Compass Hires Frank L. Blum Construction to Develop Kimel Park Surgery Center

Kimel Park 8x6Raleigh, N.C. and Winston-Salem, N.C. –March 6, 2020 – Compass Surgical Partners, LLC has hired Frank L. Blum Construction, based in Winston-Salem, to build Kimel Park Surgery Center (“KPSC,” formerly Triad Center for Surgery).

“Compass is thrilled to be working with such a reputable builder,” said Will Holding, Compass Director of Strategy, “The finished product will be a true asset to the Winston-Salem community.”

KPSC will be located at 180 Kimel Park Drive in Winston-Salem near I-40 and Forsyth Medical Center. It will include two operating rooms and three procedure rooms and will support a broad range of surgical procedures, including common ASC-based procedures such as sports medicine and ophthalmology as well as complex surgical cases such as total joint replacement and spine surgery.

Compass partners with OrthoCarolina, its physicians local to Winston-Salem, and additional independent ophthalmologists and pain management specialists to bring Winston-Salem its first multi-specialty, freestanding surgery center, thereby providing the community high-quality surgical service as greater value than existing options.

KPSC is expected to be operational in October 2020. As with all Compass-managed surgery centers, KPSC will be a fully licensed ambulatory surgery center, certified by Medicare, and accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
