Raleigh, N.C. – June 28, 2023 – Compass Surgical Partners (Compass), an independent, full-service ambulatory surgery center (ASC) development and management partner, today announced the appointment of two new senior operations leaders as market presidents. Compass’ increased investment in operations is designed to enhance infrastructure and accelerate growth as it expands its footprint of health system and physician ASC partnerships. The newly appointed market presidents, Scott Bergman and Heather Combs, bring significant expertise in ASC development and operations to Compass, strengthening its capabilities to provide high-quality surgical care and exceptional services to its partners and patients.
Scott Bergman, an industry veteran with decades of leadership experience in healthcare administration and business development, will lead market development and operations in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Bergman’s experience includes serving as an administrator for multiple ASCs over a 15-year period. Additionally, he has extensive leading business development initiatives in the ASC industry.
Heather Combs, a Cardiac Registered Nurse, brings more than 20 years of experience in surgical operations to Compass. She will oversee market development and operations in the Midwest and Mid-South regions. Combs, an expert in cardiac care, has demonstrated leadership in operations management in outpatient and ASC settings nationwide. Combs’ experience will be a key driver of growth as Compass seeks to expand its capabilities and support in the cardiology ASC market.
