Chief Executive Officer
Cofounder and CEO of Compass, DJ Hill leads a deep executive team that oversees both hospital and physician-only joint ventures that help surgeons deliver the highest level of care to their patients.
DJ believes deeply in the resilience and effectiveness of joint venturing with surgeons to create meaningful value-based care options. He prioritizes a ’values-first’ approach to ensuring success both in surgery center partnerships and within the team at Compass.
Prior to Compass, he was responsible for Titan Health Corporation’s rapid growth as Chief Development Officer. Titan was acquired by United Surgical Partners International in 2011.
For the past 15 years, DJ has frequently been called upon to speak at national healthcare industry events. He also has served on the boards of several nonprofits and educational institutions, including Wake Forest University as a College Board of Visitors member.
DJ holds a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina. Over the last 20 years, he has also served as an investor, board member and officer of several successful healthcare services start-ups. In his free time, you can find DJ sailing, skiing, or trying out new Raleigh restaurants with his wife and three daughters.
